what we do

wine
We say it everyday, the definition of a good wine is simple: it's a wine that you like. Period. It doesn't have to cost a lot or have a 95 point rating from a critic you've never met or heard of.
That said, how do you find a wine you like?  Well, this is the fun part: you taste as much wine as possible.  Yeah!!  I don't mean swill, I mean taste.  Find a reputable, local wine bar/shop (like naked vine) and attend their tastings, classes and events.  Soon you'll be swirling and sniffing with the best of them.  You'll develop your palate (that's a good thing) and begin to realize what you like, and just as important, what you don't like.

craft beer

"You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer." - Frank Zappa

Craft beer is many different things to many different people and most beer lovers have a story of discovery to share. It has been described variously as ten minutes of pleasure, pure happiness in a glass, full flavored, authentic, archetypical; an intellectual beverage that is to be savored. It is enjoyed for everyday celebrations and is viewed by many as one of the special things in life that makes the day taste and feel a little better. It is also regarded as living liquid history. Each glass displays the creativity and passion of its maker and the complexity of its ingredients. At naked vine we're proud of our unique selection of craft beers, and look forward to sharing them with you.

tastings
naked vine provides our customers the opportunity to taste three times each week.  Wine tastings are Thursdays 5:00 - 8:00 PM and Saturdays 3:00 - 6:00 PM.  Beer tastings are every Wednesday 5:00 - 8:00 PM.  Click here to receive our e-mails and we'll let you know what we'll be pouring each week.

classes
naked vine offers fun, informative classes on all things wine, beer and cheese.  Classes are generally held on Tuesday evenings.  Check the calendar for updates.

events
naked vine enjoys having winemakers visit from around the world and share their knowledge and experience with our customers. We call these evenings "Meet Your Maker", and hold them 8 to 12 times a year.  We have annual chili, gumbo and BBQ cook-offs, and our New Year's Eve Eve party is a blast.  We're also the perfect venue for hosting private parties, client events, or fundraisers.  Give us a call and we'll be happy to tell you how we can tailor an in-store wine and craft beer event to meet your needs.

cheese, etc.
We love slicing up farmstead, clothbound, artisanal, handmade, organic and, of course perfectly ripe cheese.  naked vine features familiar cheeses like cheddars and bries along with new and exotic cheeses such as cave-aged Italian, French, Dutch and Spanish specialty cheeses, and a wonderful selection of family-farmed domestic cheeses.
We're also suckers for cured pork.  The French say "Dans le cochon, tout est bon." (Everything in a pig is good).  In fact, our version of heaven is filled with salumi of all kinds.  Until you get there you can enjoy our wonderful cured pork products from Fra'Mani, makers of handcrafted salumi since 2006 when it was launched by renowned chef Paul Bertoli of Chez Panisse fame.

relax

You don't have to wait for a tasting to enjoy naked vine.  Come in anytime for a glass of wine or beer and a bit of cheese and salumi.  Our space is warm and welcoming, with a large granite bar and a beautiful hand hewn wooden public table to share with old friends or meet new ones.  And no matter how good our wine, beer and cheese are, lets face it: staff can be the difference between a good experience and a great one.  Of course we're a bit partial, but we think we have the friendliest and most passionate staff in town, and they all look forward to seeing you at naked vine.
